At first I must
say I really like Hellboy as a character, but I haven’t really read any of his
comics. So When I read “House of the Living Dead” I walked in with an open mind,
and I must say it’s just one long brawl.
In 1956
Hellboy was sent to Mexico. In Mexico he met some wrestlers who fought monsters,
and soon Hellboy was wrapped up in the wrestling ring. A day he’s met by a man,
who has a proposition for him, and if he declines a girl will be killed. So he accepts,
and soon he is in the wrestling ring with a man, who really looks like Frankenstein,
and before the end he have killed a skinny Dracula and killed a werewolf. Of
course also beaten some spirits by the way.
“Hellboy:
House of the Living” isn’t a really rich story, or have a new take on things.
It’s really just Hellboy beaten up some monsters.
